I’ve been a little MIA on the blog – but all for good reason. We have had family in town, plus we traded family sessions with my awesome friend Danielle! I’ve also been swamped with wedding consults (is October the new June? Awesome!) and booking up for back to school and holiday portraits. I really love this time of year, crazy though it may be.

Here are some photos of Danielle and her family!

As Danielle said “This is the field where God created grasshoppers.” SO so true, but Charlee was loving looking for them!

Love this little girl!

This little girl loooooves her mommy!

Stunners!

I love this photo – it describes these two!!

And of course some of my cousin and his wife! :)

See Brutus up there? Very possibly the coolest dog ever.

And of course – one that I love from our session by Danielle!!

Most mama’s can relate to that photo!!

Happy Friday! I hope you all have a great weekend!

Every wedding that I shoot is special to me.  The clients that hire me become friends through the process of planning the wedding, and I am honored that they choose me to document their day and their love.  Amanda and Donnie’s wedding was extra special because they were already friends before they chose me as their photographer.  I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for awhile now, and it was just as wonderful as I knew it would be.  Here’s a quick sneak!

Amanda, as your photographer I want to thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful wedding. But as your friend, I want you to know that you were just as beautiful on your wedding day as you always are – both inside and out. I am so happy for you and Donnie, and I wish you all the love and happiness the world has to offer you. <3

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is working with clients to make their images as personable as possible. I want them to hang art in their homes that means something to them beyond just being a photo of someone that they love.  I want the whole image to have meaning.  Christine had GREAT ideas for tailoring this photoshoot of her beautiful daughters to represent their family.  It’s obvious that they love and are proud of what they do, so we incorporated their oil company by visiting their oil wells and including them in the photo. We also visited their lake house and got some awesome shots there.  Not only were these great locations, they all mean something to the family, which I really think adds more to the image.

Thanks so much Keepes ladies for hanging out with me for the evening!  I really enjoyed  getting to know you, and spending time as some of the places you love.  And I told my husband he has a car to wash. ;)

I hope you enjoy your sneak and I’ll be in touch soon!

That’s right! Brides that book their weddings through me now get their very own site to showcase their photos, and give out their wedding info.  Check out Jen and Lenny’s here to see what they’re all about!

Jen and Lenny are beautiful. For real…just you wait and see. They also happen to be engaged. And Jen’s dad happens to live on a gorgeous family farm. So when you mix all this together, what do you get? One awesome engagement session! The clouds threatened to spill some rain on us, but ended up just giving us beautiful diffused light. :) Looking at these two you would never know its was super humid, and the mosquitoes were out. Jen and Lenny – I had a blast with you and I absolutely can not WAIT for your wedding!

Normally the biggest thing to prepare for in any newborn session is keeping baby comfortably warm. If you have been outside lately, you probably already know that wasn’t a problem with Brooklyn’s session! Good to know the oppressive heat and humidity is good for something right? Enjoy the shots of this beautiful baby, and her gorgeous big sister! :)

How’s that for a baby fix?! Have a great day!!
